About me
During his tenure, Chris has held many leadership roles including Superintendent of Schools, Chief Information Officer for Detroit Public Schools, Elementary Principal, Chief Operating Officer, and is currently the Director of the Lenawee/Monroe Technology Consortium.
Throughout his career, Chris has focused on creating opportunities for kids. He created partnerships with several vendors while at Detroit Public Schools to expand technology offerings and provide students with state-of-the-art career driven pathways.
As a Superintendent of Schools, Chris lifted his district out of a 1.2-million-dollar deficit by restructuring the budget and creating an online school for surrounding students. He advanced the district from 10th to 4th in academic stature within their Intermediate School District by allowing teachers to have more voice in what and how things were being taught to students and implementing new literature and math initiatives. Chris also removed 2 of his schools from Michigan “Focus School” status for low performing State assessments.
Outside of his primary positions, Chris has also been instrumental in the development of kids through sports. He coached Varsity football and Varsity track for over 14 years and has also coached youth hockey for over 10 years and developed curriculum for USA Hockey to use as part of their development model.
In his current role he oversees a team of individuals who are responsible for the day-to-day ERP operations and support, SIS operations and support, and Infrastructure operations and support of a consortium of 23 schools and 2 Intermediate School Districts. His primary focus being on leveraging community tax dollars to their fullest extent while delivering products and services to the districts that meet and exceed their needs and goals.
